Professional Services Specialist III

DUTIES:

Assists the director and associate director in developing and maintaining Institutional Research database systems, including Applicants Data, Student Data, and Course Data. Implements and maintains error-checking programs, checks data errors and communicates with other offices on error correction in the system. Compiles and submits mandatory state Student Unit Record (SURE) enrollment and degree reports. Assists with data analysis, develops data reports, design and implements interactive dashboard. Assists with new computer program creation and website maintenance. Provides support for mandatory Federal and State reporting, external surveys and internal data requests. Provides support for campus-wide research, accreditation, assessment, program review and other initiatives. Communicates with departments for data collection and related inquiries, and performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field. Two (2) years of experience in database design, development and maintenance. Two (2) years of experience using a computer programming language in one or more of the following: Visual Basic, C/C++, or Java. Two (2) years of experience using statistical computing language and analytical software including IBM SPSS Statistics, Microsoft Power BI–Business Data Analytics and Python. Two (2) years of experience in database language including SQL and/or T-SQL.
