Position Summary

The successful candidate will contribute to drug discovery programs, by conducting experimental work in a translational setting, including the development of novel cellular, molecular and biochemical assays to study pathological mechanisms in cancer and inform opportunities for new therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate has a background in cell culture, assay development and multiplex immunofluorescence staining. Prior experience working with primary tissues and cells is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient tissue samples processing and ex vivo model development including patient-derived cell culture, maintenance, propagation and banking.
  • Design, optimize, and set up routine and novel cellular assays to characterize drug responses.
  • Conduct molecular, biochemical and related assays including qPCR, ELISA, Western blot, immunostaining and basic microscopy.
  • Thoroughly and effectively document experimental procedures and results including figures and tables.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of college experience specialized in cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or a related subject with a minimum of 1 years of laboratory experience in cellular biology, oncology and molecular biology.
  • Hands on experience with a wide range of cellular and biochemical assays such as cell culture, western blotting, immunofluorescence staining is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain good records of laboratory data.
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
