Your Role and Responsibilities
Start and end dates for this internship are during summer 2024 (3 months)
"May - August" or "June - September" for quarter system schools.
The position is IBM US Office-based in Research Triangle Park, NC.

As a DevOps Developer Developer intern, you will:
- Work with DevOps team maintaining and building tools to support and automate development activities in local and remote environments.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate and deploy applications using DevOps methodology.
- Contribute to improve the CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) pipelines to meet development velocity.
- Learn and stay updated of DevOps technologies and trends.

- Highly motivated and have a passion for creating and supporting great products.
- Thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines, and you have very strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Great at solving problems, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues.
- Have a basic understanding of software development and programming languages.
- Have the ability to learn new skills quickly and use the skills efficiently.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Entry-level experience with any of main scripting and programming languages (bash, python, go).
- Basic knowledge of cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform…).
- Familiar with DevOps tooling like docker and git.
- Familiar with Linux operating system and command line tools.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Familiar with container orchestration platforms like kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure automation systems like Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools (Tekton, github actions / CI,...).
