Attention NJ Applicants: In April 2020, our Company announced plans to consolidate our New Jersey campuses into a single New Jersey headquarters location in Rahway, NJ by 2023. Therefore, the NJ work location for this role will be temporarily based and the exact timing of the departmental move to Rahway, NJ will be communicated at a future date.

Hospital and Acute Care (HAC) is a franchise of $3B in annual sales and continues to be an important area of focus for our Company. We are focused on our vision to save and improve lives around the world. The HAC Portfolio provides critical options for Health Care Providers around the world.

The global HAC Marketing team is a leader in embracing new organizational ways of working. We are looking to recruit an Associate Director to be part of this innovative way of working. Hospital Acute Care has broken down traditional silos of work and function as one Agile Scrum Team. The Scrum team engages closely with our subject matter experts within GMAX, Market Research, and Promotions to work prioritize and work most effectively. The team is empowered to make trade off choices and determine how the work gets done. In this new way of working, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop cross-functional strategies and tactics and resources to address the opportunities that will have the greatest impact on patients and our business

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and align with large cross functional teams including local market points, Global Promotion, Market Research and Learning & Development.

  • Work closely with market research colleagues for new indication, market shaping, and strategy development.

  • Co-Lead marketing strategy framework for new indication and develop an integrated 1 brand strategy.

  • Work with Forecasting COE on routine planning for new indication.

  • Engage and communicate with key markets and regional commercial leads including the Global Commercial Teams (GCT).

HAC Prioritized Brands

  • Collaborate with Marketing and extended brand team on brand strategy development.

  • Maximize opportunities for growth on prioritized brands by demonstrating brand value to the Healthcare system.

  • Evaluate competitor intelligence, partner with team leading Insights generated through Data and Analytics.

  • Continuously our marketing framework for priority brands building on new customer and competitor data and insights.

  • Innovate on global digital engagement strategy and global assets.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing or related field.

  • MD, PhD, PharmD or MBA (Preferred).

Required Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of marketing experience.

  • Proven ability to work in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders including external partners.

  • Experience using Data and Analytics to solve business questions.

  • Product or brand strategy development.

  • New product or new indication launch experience.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in and excitement to work in an AGILE environment.

  • SM or PO Certification.

  • Strong collaborator.

  • Strong desire and ability to quickly learn new categories and science.

  • Non-traditional creative thinker with a focus on problem solving and action.

  • Success in ambiguous and taxing situations.

  • Strong knowledge of digital trends and social media technologies that will drive digital.

  • Demonstration of challenging traditional thinking to execute new innovative approaches.

  • Ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Self-motivated; hands-on approach to work.

  • Communicates proactively and effectively.
