The goal of CORE (Center for Observational and Real-World Evidence) is to create value evidence strategies and generate real-world evidence (RWE) that informs decisions around the globe.

Under the guidance of the Pan Tumor Executive Director, Oncology Product Line, the Director Oncology Pipeline has the primary responsibility for developing value evidence strategy and managing RWE activities for oncology pipeline assets. The incumbent will work closely with cross functional partners from clinical, commercial, medical affairs, market access, policy and tumor specific value evidence teams to ensure the programs are consistent with our oncology priorities and strategies.

The incumbent will be a part of the CORE Oncology Pan Tumor team leading RWE projects for oncology pipeline products to support the business strategies at an asset level. The role comprises of the following responsibilities:

  • ​Responsible for developing pan tumor asset level value evidence strategy to inform, support and strengthen product development and business priorities to ensure that asset value is defined and developed for oncology pipeline products.

  • Work closely with Value Evidence Sub Team (VEST) Leads, members of CORE and cross functional colleagues from commercial, medical affairs, clinical, policy, market access, country affiliates, and from other relevant teams to ensure that value evidence initiatives and RWE studies are aligned with business priorities and optimize access, reimbursement and uptake of the pipeline products.

  • ​Serve as a subject matter expert on value evidence needs, from an asset level pan tumor perspective, about drivers and barriers to reimbursement and market access, globally. The incumbent will work closely with policy and market access teams to understand stakeholder needs and deliver on relevant RWE studies to support the value proposition of our oncology pipeline products.

  • Participate in the asset integration team meetings and provide reimbursement perspective, global health economic and outcomes research evidence requirements into the oncology pipeline clinical development programs including but not limited to considerations for trial design, comparators, endpoints etc.

  • Contribute to discussions and efforts led by cross functional partners such as pricing research, policy narratives etc.

  • Design, conduct and deliver studies and tools to support value demonstration and product differentiation for pipeline assets. ​Responsible for executing on research projects including development of the study protocol, analyses and dissemination of the results internally and externally. The incumbent will be responsible for contracting and budget management for the projects.

  • ​​Support our country affiliates and adapt pan tumor strategies and RWE to local needs. Provide outcomes research expertise and tools such as protocols, input forms, data collection forms for customization to countries, per local requirements.

  • ​​Obtain scientific input through pan-tumor scientific advisory panels on RWE, as required.

  • ​Responsible to effectively develop/communicate findings from real world activities internally and to external stakeholders.

  • ​Present RWE at international/national congresses and publish articles in scientific journals.

  • ​Stay abreast of advances and developments externally in the field of oncology and HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research). ​Contribute to external conversations and interact with experts in oncology HEOR worldwide.

Position Qualifications

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Doctoral (preferred) degree from a recognized school of medicine, public health, management, pharmacy, or economics.

  • Master’s degree from a recognized school of medicine, public health, management, pharmacy, or economics.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 1+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in HEOR or related field with a Doctoral degree.

  • 3+ years of experience in the design and implementation of clinical, epidemiological, or health economic studies with a Master's degree.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in the field of outcomes research, epidemiology or health economics.

  • Excellent leadership and strategic thinking skills.

  • A track record of scientific presentations and publications.

  • Real-world evidence experience in managing Oncology pipeline assets.

$157,700.00 - $268,200.00
