Job Description

The Enterprise Strategy Office (ESO) develops, implements, and drives enterprise strategy in support of our Company, its customers, and shareholders. The scope of this group includes enterprise strategic planning, value realization and program management, risk management, as well as strategic venture investments in healthcare as part of our Global Health Innovation fund. Together, we identify business critical challenges, create and evaluate options, and ensure effective implementation and cross-functional engagement.

Execution & Value Realization group is focused on driving progress and success of our top transformational programs and priorities (including Accelerate and Enterprise Go-To-Market) with best-in-class program management.

Position Description:

Associate Director, Execution & Value Realization

The Associate Director of Strategy Execution reports into Director, Execution & Value Realization group and works closely with ESO and initiative leads to support the translation of key enterprise strategy priorities to execution. This includes ongoing strategic initiatives across our Company (e.g., Accelerate) as well new enterprise and cross-divisional initiatives. This role works cross-functionally with initiative, workstream, change, and communication leaders to drive excellent execution, value realization, and change.

This role supports teams across all lines of business. The selected candidate will collaborate with leaders across our company to solve problems and drive value. This role will actively support a psychologically safe, diverse and inclusive environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operationally manage the execution of key enterprise initiatives (including Accelerate), in collaboration with ESO and operational leaders across the company

  • Support cross-divisional change and process initiatives aligned with enterprise priorities

  • Contribute to the Accelerate program, bringing to bear experience in other areas and/or companies to ensure excellent execution and value delivery

  • Run internal and external teams to progress critical enterprise initiatives from conception to implementation

  • Identify and track critical gaps in team performance; develop and implement remediation plans to address these gaps, in coordination with key transformation leaders

  • Collaborate directly and indirectly with internal and external associates dedicated to our programs

  • Lead seamless program execution, value tracking, risk management and communications

  • Drive cultural engagement with diverse and inclusive teams

  • Support and manage special projects and assignments on ad-hoc basis

Position Qualifications:

Education and Industry Experience Requirement:

  • A minimum of a B.A./B.S. degree.

  • A minimum of 5 years of working in the bio/pharmaceutical or healthcare related industry, or in a Strategy related role, preferably with a STEM background demonstrating strong data driven decision making.

  • Strategy consulting experience or related corporate experience in bio/pharmaceutical/ healthcare/or other related industry.

  • Experience operationally managing teams as well as liaising with external vendors preferably in a consulting or corporate transformation context

Required Skills

  • Strong Project Management and strategy execution skills

  • Biopharma industry business acumen

  • Fluent in applying and driving change management knowledge, skills and tools

  • Comfortable with research and analytic tools including external landscape, secondary research, fact pack generation, data fluency

  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business

  • Ability to manage several workstreams projects at same time

  • Consultative working style, with demonstrated emotional intelligence and confidence to influence colleagues and offer solutions across functions and levels of seniority.

Expected salary range:

$117,600.00 - $200,100.00
