Job Description

You will be joining a team of passionate, strategic insights and data-driven people who partner with stakeholders at a local, regional and global level to support value driven decision-making. As the Director for Global Market Research and Analytics for Oncology, you will be the point of contact for Pan Tumor and Portfolio strategy for some of our key Tumors. Your responsibility will be across several Tumor disease areas with a clear focus to drive growth across our Global markets. You will need to manage a variety of stakeholders and collaborate closely with your peers within Global Market Research & Analytics team across the Customer Areas. Your Market Research and Analytics

expertise will allow you to act as a strategic partner and proactively engage with the Brand teams to address key business questions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead conversations with key stakeholders (US and Global) to design and direct research that generates in-depth customer-focused insights, and identifies key business opportunities aimed at maximizing both customer values and corporate objectives. Be the impartial voice of our Customers to provide strategic Insights to our Brand teams to help drive the business.

  • Integrate multiple data sources to assess market landscape, product performance for both in-line and new products, and present findings to key stakeholders and design research studies for a deeper dive; Strive to drive a “Data & Insights” driven mindset to answer business questions.

  • Maintain visibility into Market research and Analytics and ensure efficient and constructive use of Market Research and analytics across the Customer groups.

  • Collaborate with other Global Market Insights Functional Partners to identify any areas of shared interest across Global or Regional teams.

  • Lead ad-hoc projects to address strategic market topics with cross-functional teams (e.g. competitive workshops; scenario planning; landscape evolution; Analytical “Use Case”).

  • Lead and develop detailed market research plans and activities in adherence with our company's marketing principles to help prepare for new product launches.

  • Proactively, monitor business performance through regular scorecard updates to inform the Brand teams of opportunities and challenges. Build a data and insights supported performance narrative.

  • Work collaboratively across functional areas such as Multi-Channel Promotion, Marketing & Sales, Finance, Customer Engagement and Launch Planning.

  • Help to shape the strategic direction of the global and/ or US portfolio through active participation with marketing (and other regional leaders, as appropriate).

  • Demonstrate operational efficiency by leveraging best practices and facilitating cross-region learning, as applicable.

  • Embrace Innovation & technology to find new and improved ways to uncover growth opportunities and provide actionable insights in real time – both at a brand and portfolio level.

  • Drive more efficient ways of working with Market Research agencies and big Data suppliers through leveraging our scale and volume of projects.

  • Conducting all activities in full compliance with our company policies, values, and standards.

  • Excellent presentation skills; Able to narrate a well defined story that resonate with audience and explain research findings eloquently.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing/Healthcare

  • MBA or Post graduate in Marketing or Analytics or relevant field

Required Experience and Skills:

  • At least 7-8 years of experience in Pharma US Market Research/ Marketing/ Analytics experience using both primary and secondary data sets.

  • Experience in supporting sales, forecasting, access and pricing, marketing, competitive intelligence is preferred.

  • Knowledge of oncology or other specialty therapy areas is an added advantage as is prior experience of a Global Product Launch.

  • Well developed analytical skills, strong problem-solving and demonstrated ability to think strategically and objectively are required.

  • Orientation toward collaboration/ team work, ability to lead teams in execution of market research, interest in ongoing learning.

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills around customer focus, decision making, courage & candor, and fostering collaboration.

  • Ability and comfort in prioritizing and managing multiple requests from multiple marketing points and extended team members.

  • Ability to communicate and present Market Research Insights effectively in multi divisional environment.

  • Strong desire to lead change; drive efficiency, challenge the status quo and resolve issues using creative problem solving skills.

  • Innovative mind set with a passion to think “outside the box”.

  • Able to achieve results while dealing with ambiguity and a rapid pace of change.
