Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research & Development Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The individual in this role will be part of the Metrics, Analytics, & Performance (MAP) Team, whose primary mission is to support development of existing reports using advance analytics in Global Clinical Trial Operations Group.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The intern is responsible for providing analytical and technical support, which includes the collection and analysis of internal and external pharmaceutical data to assist in making meaningful business decisions.

  • Support teams/working groups by analyzing data and preparing reports for dissemination. These include standard reports and ad hoc requests

  • Assist Metrics/Analytics team for data mining, analysis and visualization to support internal customers to successfully carry out business objectives

  • Participate in user acceptance testing for compliance metrics, advance analytics and dashboards to ensure requirements are met and the accuracy of the data

  • Assist in providing Advance Analytics support using scripts like (Python/R/SAS) as well as data modelling and planning tools

  • Support departmental efforts to develop and automate certain time consuming reports/ data load to the greatest extent possible, sharing best practices.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Candidates must be enrolled in a minimum of a bachelor's degree program.

  • Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning on 5JUN23

  • Candidates must have courses preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Quantitative Science, Statistics, Operations research, Pharmacy, related discipline.

  • Candidates must have experience with Python, R, SAS or a comparable programming language is highly desired a must

  • Candidates must have MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Access) knowledge

  • Candidates must have visualization/ analytical tools such as Spotfire, Qlik Sense, Tableau (preferred) as well as modelling and planning tools

  • Candidates must have shared Document System knowledge

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates should have basic understanding of how metrics can be used to drive strategic directives and/or process improvement initiatives

  • Candidates should have data Analytical skills (data interpretation and assessing impact on process)

  • Candidates should have customer oriented and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manner.

  • Candidates should have general knowledge of statistics or have taken data analytics course(s)

  • Candidates should have good communication skills (written and oral communication). Must communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization to share data and drive a change in culture with respect to metrics

  • Candidates should have strong organizational, time management and project management skills

  • Candidates should have basic understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles

  • Candidates should have statistical skills
