Job Summary
Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking candidates to support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance customer's core mission. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from customer staff and procedures. Pay, benefits, Human Resources, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.
Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Under limited supervision, is responsible for providing senior-level support on more complex projects.
- Provides services and oversight to projects and operations, coordinates regulatory interactions, and makes recommendations for setting overall strategies, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert as needed and appropriate.
- Ensures projects and operations achieve compliance and stewardship.
- May train, orient, assign work, lead or supervise less experienced employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
Level 1:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Entry-level position for college graduate, relevant internship experience preferred; requires 8 years of relevant work experience required in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Level 2:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 2 years of relevant experience required; requires 10 years of relevant experience required in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Level 4:
- Education: Bachelor’s or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 8 years of relevant experience required; requires 16 years of relevant experience required in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Level 5:
- Education: Bachelor’s or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 10 years of relevant experience required; requires 18 years of relevant experience required in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
