2023 Vaccine Process R&D Upstream Capacitance PAT Intern
The Future Talent Program features internships that lasts up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research & Development Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.
Applications are sought for a scientific intern opportunity in Vaccine Process Research and Development. The candidate will work within the Vaccine Process Development department and an upstream live virus vaccines team to evaluate the use and application of capacitance probes as a Process Analytical Tool (PAT) for clinical vaccine candidates. Specific Job Requirements:
The successful candidate is expected to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders to maximize the utility of capacitance probes as a PAT. Under direction of the project mentor, the candidate will utilize historical and newly collected data to develop univariate and/or multivariate models that predict process parameters like viable cell density (VCD), oxygen uptake rate (OUR), peak harvest timing, etc. using capacitance data. The individual will then focus on designing bioreactor experiments to test the accuracy and reliability of the models.
The candidate is expected to function in a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment. They will be expected to demonstrate the ability to communicate results of their work in both verbal and written formats.
