Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Global Marketing Director, New Assets Dx, Precision Medicine within Oncology Global Marketing. The Global Marketing Director will be charged with leading commercial diagnostic strategies for select New Oncology Assets within our pipeline in close collaboration with the Global Partnered Asset Leads (GPALs) and Global Disease Leads (GDLs) in Human Health as well as the Diagnostic Development Teams (DxDTs) in our Company Research Laboratories.

As Global Marketing Director, Precision Medicine you will be responsible for commercial leadership and guidance for the development of diagnostic strategies and plans for select New Oncology Assets (some close to market), hereunder evaluating and selecting diagnostic technologies and diagnostic partners, assessing market adaptability of diagnostic technologies & tests etc. Additionally, the Global Marketing Director will be responsible for the development of diagnostic commercialization plans and tactics together with Regional Diagnostic Leads and diagnostic partners for our new Assets in development.

The role as Global Marketing Director, New Assets holds the opportunity and requirement to work with multiple tumor-types, molecular targets & diagnostic technologies and interface with a wide range of functional areas to develop and enable World-Class diagnostics for our New Asset Portfolio.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing commercial diagnostic leadership, support, and expertise to Diagnostic Development Teams (DxDTs), Global and Regional Marketing Organizations

  • Short & long-range Business Strategy & Planning; development of diagnostic strategies & tactics, hereunder marker preparation, positioning, messaging, competitor assessments etc.

  • Providing commercial diagnostic input on activities such as diagnostic target product profile development, partner selection, market research, business cases, BD&L activities etc.

  • Working effectively with all cross-functional internal partners including Human Health, our Company Research Labs, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs to successfully navigate the internal organization

  • Effective Partner Management & collaboration, both Diagnostic and Pharma partners, to proactively represent our Company interest during diagnostic product development and launch

Required: Bachelors Degree
Preferred: MSc, PhD, and/or MBA

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience (Pharma and Diagnostic) is required

  • Strong Pharma or Diagnostic experience within Oncology

  • Pharma & Diagnostic marketing experience

  • Proprietary

  • Deep scientific understanding of oncology molecular targets and diagnostic technologies

  • Strong understanding of the role of biomarkers & diagnostics in Oncology Precision Medicine

  • Demonstrated commercial leadership in development of diagnostic product strategy & planning

  • Strong cross-functional and informal leadership skills in problem solving, teamwork, analytical, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to work with many areas of marketing management including strategy development, competitive dynamics, and issues management in a highly complex and dynamic environment is a must

  • 25% Travel, including some weekends

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$175,440.00 - $276,200.00
