The Technical Analyst for LabX will drive the digitization of lab instrument data. This effort is intended to create significant efficiencies and savings within Lab Operations.

The individual will focus on the technical development, installation and sustainment of the LabX application with an interface to Labware LIMS. The person will work within a cross function team to establish requirements, review designs, test and deploy solutions that connect instrumentation to systems of record, remove paper from our business processes and drive value through compliance and business process efficiency. The individual will be responsible for managing the technical elements of the solution.

The individual will have a lead role in deploying the latest technology on a global initiative. The primary focus will be on technical analysis, testing and implementation including business analysis, process, SDLC and sustainment.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously collaborate with both local and global business partners to understand current and desired business processes/requirements, as well as corresponding business goals.

  • Lead the technical implementation of key software platforms (LabX and others) within a global project.

  • Sustain technical platforms, including LabX, through their lifecycle in partnership with the business and other IT partners.

  • Collaborate on the development of use and technology in the labs and shopfloor across GLIMS, LabX, Empower, networking, infrastructure and other platforms.

  • Strategic thinking: Demonstrated ability to adapt current work processes to meet emerging needs and changes in job responsibilities. Demonstrates the ability to evaluate new ideas and proposed methods for practicality and ease of implementation.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to coordinate work tasks with others for timely completion and to avoid potential setbacks. Demonstrates the ability to adjust work to accommodate sudden task changes and avoid potential threats to meeting task deadlines.

  • Productive Communication: Demonstrated skill in using an open communication style that actively acknowledges other thoughts and opinions.

  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems that arise within job responsibilities and expectations. Demonstrates the ability to combine data and information from multiple sources in new ways to determine causes of issues.

  • Able to succeed in a dynamic, rapidly changing, highly matrixed business environment.

  • Must be able to work independently and enable/facilitate productive and business-like meetings as well as to work with individuals at all levels and demonstrate a level of professionalism that instils confidence and inspires trust.

  • Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.

Education :

  • Bachelors degree (Prefer in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Math)

Qualifications:

  • 6 + years of pharmaceutical industry laboratory automation experience with a focus on technical analysis and system validation

  • Prior hands-on working experience developing and executing the full System Development Life Cycle deliverable set for Pharmaceutical QC Lab Standalone COTS systems

  • Demonstrated understanding of appropriate regulatory guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) processes.

  • Implementation experience within change control systems

  • A strong scientific background with prior hands on working experience with both technology and lab instrumentation

  • Previous working experience using knowledge of teams/ functions to help complete tasks and projects

  • Excellent presentation, oral, written, and graphical communications skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Labware LIMS v8 Master data configuration, validation, life cycle management

  • LabX Master data configuration, validation, life cycle management

  • System Integration to LIMS via API

  • Prior commercial lab experience highly desirable

  • Working knowledge of SQL and infrastructure networking

  • Hands-on operation and qualification of the following: pH, balance, titrators, refractometers, melting point and density meters

  • Kneat Digital Validation authoring and execution experience

  • Passion for continuous improvement

$107,600.00 - $169,400.00
