Job Description

Our Support Functions deliver services and make recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the culture of our organization. Our Support Functions include HR, Finance, Information Technology, Legal, Procurement, Administration, Facilities and Security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes system design and provides basis for verification and construction of systems compatible with modern architectures and services, with supporting models and abstractions powering the software lifecycle while adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.

  • Develops integrated software systems, processes, and procedures aligned with continuous improvement, organizational standards surrounding security, reporting, observation, and control. Designs, leads, and directs the process, verification, and resolution of incident, recovery, and post-mortem management processes.

  • Develops and designs software system configuration capabilities across heterogenous technology environments, architectures, and platforms.

  • Performs the evaluation, design, and selection of appropriate structured, unstructured, or hybrid data engineering solutions across various physical and digital topologies with consideration to satisfying software requirements with necessary concerns of security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, fidelity, flexibility and portability.

  • Leads, facilitates, and directs the construction, amendment, and verification of software systems, components, and integrations.

  • Architects software solutions, components, applications, and interfaces with the aim to provide the basis for software construction and verification, taking into consideration functional and nonfunctional requirements, solution alternatives, environment, and operating parameters.

Education Minimum Requirement

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

Specialized Skills and Responsibilities:


  • Working closely with Solution and other Architects designs system components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.

  • Identifies and evaluates alternative design options and trade-offs. Creates multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders and to handle functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Produces detailed design specifications to form the basis for the construction and configuration of systems. Reviews, verifies and improves own designs against specifications.


  • Provides technical expertise to enable the configuration of system components and equipment for systems testing.

  • Collaborates with technical teams to develop and agree system integration plans and report on progress.

  • Defines complex/new integration builds. Ensures that integration test environments are correctly configured.

  • Designs, performs and reports results of tests of the integration build.

  • Identifies and documents system integration components for recording in the configuration management system.

  • Recommends and implements improvements to processes and tools


  • Designs, verifies, documents, amends and refactors complex software configurations for deployment.

  • Contributes to the selection of the software configuration methods, tools and techniques.

  • Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve well-engineered outcomes.

  • Participates in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work.


  • Takes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of software development. Plans and drives software construction activities.

  • Adopts and adapts appropriate software development methods, tools and techniques.

  • Measures and monitors applications of project/team standards for software construction, including software security.

  • Contributes to the development of organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for software development.

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$107,600.00 - $169,400.00
