Postdoctoral Research Fellow: NMR of Biologics and Vaccines

As a postdoctoral fellow in the Analytical Enabling Technologies Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) team, you will have a unique opportunity to develop and implement advanced NMR methods to study the solution behavior of monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, therapeutic proteins, and vaccines. You will work with a highly collaborative team of scientists within our Analytical Research & Development department, using state-of-the-art equipment that includes 500, 600, and 800 MHz NMR spectrometers. You will be collaborating with chemistry, biology, and bioprocess colleagues to contribute structural information that will help characterize protein stability, including interactions, self-association, aggregation, and the formation of higher-order structure.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, implement and carry out relevant NMR experiments.
Data interpretation, model building, presentation, and publication of results.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team.
Education Minimum Requirement:
PhD in Structural Biology, Biophysics or Chemistry
Required Experience and Skills:
Background in NMR spectroscopy.
Knowledge of protein NMR methods and some experience in method development.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Recombinant production (CHO, E. coli) of isotope labeled proteins.
Biophysical protein characterization techniques.
Structure calculations, molecular modeling, scripting, programming.
Structural characterization of large proteins.
A proven ability to conduct independent research.
Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:$66,600.00 - $113,300.00
