This role is for Optum/United Health Groups’ Research arm, Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is a best practice research firm that was acquired by Optum in 2017. For 35+ years, Advisory Board research has been the health care industry’s guiding light, bringing our provider and service provider members closer to best practice performance.

The Sponsorship Account Manager is the backbone of the Advisory Board Sponsorship team, with a solid focus on delivery and project management of contracts for sponsored content and events. This individual is responsible for building deep relationships with clients and internal leaders to ensure flawless campaign execution. The Sponsorship Account Manager will oversee sponsorship campaigns across various Advisory Board platforms including digital, in- person events, email, and virtual events.

Primary Responsibilities:
Relationship management (40%):

  • Maintain client relationships by partnering closely with internal research and marketing teams to communicate with the client
  • Schedule milestones for campaign check points, including scheduling and facilitating scoping and planning meetings with the client
  • Organize and maintain documentation related to contract delivery including task assignments, final deliverables, and presentations

Campaign project management (50%):

  • Track the sponsorship pipeline of deliverables and pre-sale discussions and report updates to key stakeholders
  • Continuously monitor campaign delivery and performance. This will include building final analytic review presentations for clients in PowerPoint using reporting from Google Analytics and Domo
  • Use Domo and Google Analytics to analyze campaign delivery and performance, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Oversee publishing cycles through the Advisory Board website, blogs, newsletters, Daily Briefing newsletter, and events by delegating tasks and deadlines to appropriate team members
  • Recommend, implement, analyze, and continually improve upon new operational workflows

Sponsorship product management (10%):

  • Help to bring exciting sponsorship engagements to life at in-person and virtual events across the nation by coordinating with internal operations and research teams as well as external sponsors
  • Partner with marketing, research, and operations teams to recommend ways to integrate innovative native and custom sponsored content within Advisory Board’s expert healthcare research

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years project management, marketing, client management, B2B customer service, or administrative experience
  • Experience managing projects utilizing time management, organization, and teamwork building skills
  • Demonstrated experience building open communication channels with key external and internal stakeholders
  • Advanced skill level of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
