The Defense Health Operation of Leidos is currently looking for a Program Manager for the Expeditionary and Trauma Medicine Department at the Naval Medical Research Unit, San Antonio (NAMRU-SA) in San Antonio, TX. NAMRU-SA conducts gap driven combat casualty care, craniofacial, and directed energy research to improve survival, operational readiness, and safety of Department of Defense personnel engaged in routine and expeditionary operations. *This position does not have supervisory responsibilities*
Primary Responsibilities
Facilitate information flow between program members, scientific directors, and the Command
Assists with the gathering of Government prepared documentation for contract actions and proposals and ensure completion in accordance with established policies and procedures
Assists Directors in carryout of administrative and financial tasks related to research under contract
Assists with various research related administrative tasks and tracks spreadsheets (dynamic Excel spreadsheets) based on purchases made by the Government and or the contractor for research related items associated with the performance of this task order
Assists Government personnel in initiating and maintaining regularly IACUC/IRB requirements
Assists with the development and formulation of fiscal year budget requests for research
In collaboration with the Government, provides recommendations for yearly budgets related to research under contract
Tracks study expenditures and reports financial status related to research under contract to the Government
Provides business and growth plans for research under contract to CCC, CHRM Directors, and Chief Scientists
Supports Government approved proposals and grants via various websites (i.e., eBRAP, grants.gov, DMRDP, etc.)
Ensure sponsored monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are compliant with sponsor guidelines and templates
Perform market research regarding development of study budget and provides to Government for decision-making
Supports Government approved proposals and grants via various websites (i.e., eBRAP, grants.gov, DMRDP, etc.)
Maintains and organizes Government prepared research documents
Ensures Government prepared documentation is available for various research meetings
Basic Qualifications
Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree (with 7 years of related experience) or a Master’s degree (with 5 years of related experience)
The candidate will be required to acquire, at a minimum, a SECRET classification access level. Preference will be given to a candidate who already has this clearance level
Due to Federal contract requirements, US citizenship is required
Knowledge of IACUC/IRB requirements
Experience in a military medical research laboratory is a plus
Pay Range:
Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
