We are seeking a talented and motivated Ph.D. level organic chemist who is passionate about organic synthesis and joining a world-class group of employees in the pursuit of innovative therapies at our Cambridge, MA location. The successful candidate must have multi-year experience working in Synthetic Organic Chemistry with evidence of collaborative team work. The candidate will contribute to the scale-up synthesis of molecules from medicinal chemistry to support toxicological evaluation in-vivo. As such, the candidate will be responsible for independently planning and executing synthetic organic chemistry reactions to efficiently obtain desired targets with relevant characterization data. The interpretation and communication of reaction observations and compound data to his/her supervisor and the project team will require the candidate to have good communication skills and a naturally collaborative style.


  • A Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry
  • Minimum 0-4 years’ experience in synthetic organic chemistry
  • Broad range of synthetic organic chemistry knowledge which includes the planning and execution of multi-step synthetic reactions.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in Synthetic Organic Chemistry with knowledge of scale-up and process chemistry. Working knowledge of Analytical and Separation technology.
  • Skilled in purification techniques: column chromatography, distillation, crystallization, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to fully characterize small molecules by NMR, LC/MS and interpret the data
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively under direct supervision, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
