The Pre-Clinical Safety (PCS) group in NIBR provides world class preclinical safety profiling and assessment for optimal drug discovery, development and commercialization, with state-of-the-art regulatory compliance.<br><br>We are seeking a scientist to join the PCS Biomarker group in Translational Medicine. In this role, you would be supporting complex modality safety across a broad mix of therapeutic areas. You will support laboratory investigations of project and platform specific issues through design, execution, and interpretation of experimental work.<br><br>What you’ll be doing:<br>•Work with senior scientific staff to execute analytical aspects of study protocols, such as: laboratory analyses (i.e., specialized biomarker assays; e.g., single- and multi-plex ELISAs, bead-based immunoassays, and quantitative PCR), data reporting, and interpretation for preclinical drug safety studies. Recognizing analytical and experimental design challenges and actively providing insight into solutions.<br>•Perform data analysis, statistics, data quality testing and result verification, and graphical representation of data for reports and presentations.<br>•Based on experimental results, provide input to internal and external publications including writing relevant sections of study protocols and reports. Communicate results and conclusions to project meetings.<br>Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:<br>•Design and execute experiments and identify next steps based on analysis of own data and data from other lab contributors. Interpret and communicate results.<br>•Serve as team member on activities to support project teams and collaborate with research scientists across Novartis global platform and disease areas.<br>•Assist in method development and validation of new methodologies and instrumentation.<br>•Assist in the preparation of protocols and reports and participate in data science activities.<br><br>[#video#https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIxJdzIn0mE{#400,300#}#/video#]
