As a Research Scientist II, you will have an opportunity to join the NIBR Biologics Center (NBC) and be at the cutting edge, leading the development of innovative medicines that can improve lives of patients.<br><br>What you'll be doing:<br>· Executing the development and optimization of new protein and nucleic acid analytical methods for the biophysical-chemical characterization of AAV based gene therapies. <br><br>· Develop and perform HPLC and UPLC assays with minimal supervision including SEC, IEX, RP.<br><br>· Develop, optimize and perform capillary electrophoresis-sodium dodecyl sulfate (CE-SDS) based methods for analysis of AAV capsid proteins and AAV genome.<br><br>· Design experiments independently, then implementing them to characterize AAV Gene Therapy Drug Substance, in-process intermediates and process related impurities.<br><br>· Independently analyzing complex scientific data and helping to interpret and plan follow up experiments with supervision.<br><br>· Documenting your experimental design, implementation, and results in an electronic laboratory notebook following good documentation practices.<br><br>· Authoring reports and presentations with supervision. Presenting experimental plans and results to internal and external multi-disciplinary audiences.<br><br>· Acting as a key point of contact for general laboratory management activities including scheduling preventative maintenance on various instruments, tracking laboratory consumables and reagents, and shipping and receiving samples[#video#https://youtu.be/ggbnzRY9z8w{#400,300#}#/video#]
