The Pre-Clinical Safety (PCS) group in NIBR provides world class preclinical safety profiling and assessment for optimal drug discovery, development and commercialization, with state-of-the-art regulatory compliance.<br><br>The Preclinical Safety team is seeking a Research Scientist. What you will be doing: <br><br>•Evaluates data collected on body tissue, fluids, secretions, and other specimens utilizing laboratory procedures. Conducts postmortem phases of toxicology studies. Reports the results of these investigations as sections of submissions to regulatory agencies. Maintains constructive interactions and information flow with other members of the new drug project teams. <br>•Provides support and possible interpretation using histochemistry, histopathology, morphology, histology, or electron microscopy. Performs experiments and procedures demonstrating proficiency with a broad range of scientific or technology techniques; executes high-quality experiments and delivers & interprets data with col-leagues and/or project teams. <br>•Executes experiments and procedures requiring specific scientific or technical knowledge and laboratory techniques; delivers high-quality data to impact drug discovery, technology, and/or early development projects.<br>•Generates hypotheses to test, troubleshoots issues and designs and executes the next set of experiments with some input from senior lab members/manager.<br>•Approaches work with urgency, manages basic research activities in parallel. Pro-vides basic data analysis to interpret own experiments assesses whether experimental hypothesis was appropriately tested and answered.<br>•Works collaboratively across teams & trains other members of team in areas of technical expertise as needed.
