The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease Area (CVM) of the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) is committed to changing this alarming statistic by discovering transformative medicines to treat cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. Our team is dedicated to the creation and development of innovative medicines to change this alarming statistic. We conceive, develop, validate, and employ pharmacological tools to evaluate the efficacy and safety of novel cardiovascular drug candidates. We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our In Vivo Pharmacology team.<br>As an In Vivo Pharmacologist, you will work independently and collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary setting to execute experiments in preclinical models, analyze data, write study reports, and give oral presentations to support drug discovery, while broadening your knowledge in the field. <br><br>What you will be doing (key responsibilities):<br>• Assist in the design, execution, analysis, and documentation of in vivo experiments<br>• Plan and perform pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) studies<br>• Perform biochemical and/or histological analyses on samples<br>• Assist in data analysis and interpretation<br>• Present results in lab and department meetings<br><br>The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $66,000 and $120,000/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
