Job Description:
The Defense group at Leidos currently has an dynamic job opportunity for a Research Scientist located in Ft. Meade, MD in support of the NGA's Research Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting edge technology in an R&D environment and support critical warfighter missions. Examples of potential projects include: image reconstruction, object detection and tracking, feature extraction and classification, machine learning, signal processing, and radiometric analysis.
Requirements
BS and four (4)+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with two (2)+ years of prior relevant experience
Active TS/SCI (with poly)
Demonstrated leadership competencies, including teambuilding, creative problem-solving, flexibility, and willingness to challenge the status quo
Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills in a business context and as it applies to team and project management
Demonstrated experience in influencing business decisions and driving business value
The Research Scientist will contribute to aspects of research administration including, but not limited to:
Prepare and administer research tools
Data collection and entry
Perform/interpret statistical data analysis
Perform literature reviews
Generate written reports
Document research results through technical reports and papers
