Position: Service Technician

Boll Filter Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of renowned Boll & Kirch Filterbau GmbH in Germany, is seeking an experienced Service Technician. Boll Filter Corporation, located in Novi, MI, is recognized as the leading provider of high quality automated industrial filtration in the United States. Our employees are dedicated to performing excellent work and are highly attentive to our customers.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with filtration equipment a plus
  • Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • A mechanical aptitude of equipment required (factory training provided)
  • Proficient in Microsoft products and communicating with customers through email
  • Able to travel domestically & internationally up to 50% of the regular work week, plus occasional weekend and evening jobs
  • Able to travel up to 2 weeks at a time
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Able to obtain a US Passport and TWIC Card
  • This is a physical position where you will be required to lift equipment and tools over 50lbs, climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Work environments will vary based on the markets we sell in to (eg ocean vessels, industrial factories, powerplants, water and waste water plants and outdoors)

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Coordinate and implement all in-field activity in the North American marketplace, or other, with primary emphasis on ensuring the proper functionality of all installed Boll Filter products.
  • Providing customer service & support on all Boll Filter equipment including courtesy visits and training customers on the functionality and maintenance of Boll Filter products
  • Assist customers with filter installations
  • Remote troubleshooting
  • Repairing filtration equipment
  • Arranging site visits with customers and making travel arrangements
  • Quoting service work to customers
  • Generating proper paperwork for purchase order creation and ensuring paperwork is submitted for invoicing
  • Communicating and working with our parent company in Germany
  • Researching parts for repairs
  • Proactively following up with customers on outstanding quotes
  • Review filter drawings and paperwork
  • Research for industry specifics and validate solutions
