What you’ll be doing...

We are looking to hire a Front End Developer who focuses on JavaScript, HTML, CSS, with experience in DOM manipulation. As part of the Verizon Digital Target Development team, you will find ways to deliver exceptional web experiences to our customers by working with business leads to optimize and personalize marketing content, online promotions, and sales flows. You will use your expertise to solve complex problems and find unique solutions. The work you’ll do every single day will make people’s lives, work and play better.   • Develop small to complex business initiatives for sales and operations and deliver best in class customer experience.
  • Interact daily with business partners in Sales, Optimization, Analytics, Tagging, Front End Development, and Audience teams.
  • Collaborate with interfacing teams, define target dates for testing and ensure end to end robustness and scalability of code.
  • Quickly understand business requirements and rules to develop optimization and personalization campaign requests.
  • Develop HTML that delivers creative designs while meeting brand guidelines and standards.
  • Leverage DOM manipulation and JavaScript to execute requests.
  • Swifty troubleshoot any issues which arise pre and post launch of any campaigns.
  • Build A/B, Multivariate, Experience, Auto Target, Auto Personalization, Recommendation and Real Time Marketing campaigns for solving problems such as improving conversion rate and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Identify the coding standards used and adapt your code to mirror existing code upon the page.
  • Maintain a consistent and effective use of style guidelines and UI components.
  • Develop Cross-browser/Cross-device solutions that work in multiple browsers (IE 8+, FireFox, Chrome, Safari) on both Mac & PC and mobile devices (Tablets & Smartphones).
  • Develop, unit test and integration test business solutions.
  • Partner with system test lead and UAT lead to resolve defects and ensure a superior website user experience.
  • Assess project risk, provide accurate timelines, proactively take action and ensure robust development performance and stability in production.
  • Adopt Agile, DevOps and other enablers to improve effectiveness of project delivery.
  • Communicate project progress, status, risks, issues etc. to management. This includes providing status on a recurring basis as well as for special circumstances.
  • Be a part of and provide on call support for campaign releases.
  • Performance tuning of mission critical development solutions.
  • Willingness to provide off hours/weekend support as needed during product launches, high volume/retail/holiday periods.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, ReactJS, Angular, Ajax, Git.
  • Experience managingmultiple projects while meeting timelines.
  • Knowledge of Accessibility/SEO guidelines and best practices.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience with React/Angular, Sencha, RESTful API, Git, Gradle, IntelliJ/Eclipse.
  • Experience with Adobe Target.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Experience in AEM and React component development.
  • Experience with Web Marketing and UX.
  • Knowledge of Jenkins, CI/CD and DevOps.
  • Attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to think quickin pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of page speed and end-user experience.
  • Experiance with working in a collaborative team environment and participate in discussions focusing on best practices, user experience, functional requirements, etc.
  • Ability to have discussions with clients and team members about technical best practices and help teams identify optimal technical solutions.
