Power BI Developer/Analyst

Job Summary

Serves as lead for team of analysts or developers who facilitate business intelligence processes and procedures development and implementation utilizing Power BI and Excel solutions. Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Utilize Power BI and collaborate with end-users to develop fully automated Power BI dashboards/reports.
• Select the most appropriate analytical technique. Review and analyze information, forecasts, methods, schedules, systems, processes, and procedures, and compare against service standards and best practices to identify improvements that would increase efficiency or productivity in work effort.
• Recommend alternative solutions to management as to courses of action that best meet the organization’s goals including cost management and delivery of contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with operational managers to identify key performance metrics and data sources to develop reports designed to measure performance to standards.
• Prepare detailed documented requirements for selected activities (i.e., data management, configuration management, program management, etc.).
• Assist in continuous process improvement with systems & data that impact the contract.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, process improvement or equivalent experience. This is an experienced level position so a minimum of six years’ experience in business analysis or process improvement is required. Key skills and abilities include:

• Intermediate or higher experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet programs and integrated software applications are required; Microsoft Office applications preferred. This position relies heavily on Excel and Power BI so experience with these is a requirement.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, row-level security, and time intelligence functions.
• Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional models, as well as star schema.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to develop and present reports to internal/external audiences.
• Ability to analyze and interpret business requirements and designs into Power BI solutions.
• Position requires a Secret Security Clearance prior to starting work.
• Valid driver's license and passport.
• Position requires occasional travel within the US and to Andros Island, Bahamas
