In this role, the successful candidate has significant experience in building JavaScript-based web applications, including familiarity with multiple frameworks, strong programming fundamentals, and typical web application development and deployment processes. You must be capable of working on multiple projects at once and seeing them all through to completion, and a self-starter who is able to work through any obstacles to get the job done.
Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, working within broadly defined parameters.
Use Jira, Confluence, Nexus, Stash-Git/Subversion development operations, collaboration and source control tools.
Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development and testing.
Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them.
Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics.
Develop maintainable code that matches specification.
Write and execute automated testing of code
Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development and enhancements.
Build software solutions where the solution is not always well defined but always considers the customer first.
Ability to lead and mentor junior developers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Skillful with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Adept with front-end technology trends including solid understanding/experience of popular front-end frameworks like ReactJS, Angular, etc.
Abilities with front-end unit testing tools like Jasmine and Mocha.
Familiar with frontend development environments and toolsets like Grunt/Gulp, Bower, Yeoman.
Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals.
Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with USSTRATCOM ISPAN domain
DoD Secret clearance
