OTM is primarily a cloud product with support for legacy on-premise customers.**Job Description**As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, building and managing the complex database systems and infrastructure to support OTM product development. You will be responsible for database administration of Oracle Exadata and Oracle Cloud Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) databases, solving complex performance problems, capacity planning, backup and recovery supporting the development process, and automation. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact between Cloud Operations & the OTM Development team for all database related questions, troubleshooting, and the diagnosis of database issues, as well as for providing direction and guidance to the global OTM product development teams. This role is primarily based out of West Conshohocken, PA but we are currently working 100% remote due to COVID, and many team members will stay remote after COVID restrictions are lifted; as such, we will consider remote workers from other locations in the US (though you must be able to work US East Coast hours).**Responsibilities**+ Install, Patch and Maintain Oracle Exadata Cloud Service Grid Infrastructure and Database+ Manage backup and recovery of Development, QA & Stage databases using a combination of Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Flashback, Export/Import, and Data Pump technologies.+ Research the latest database technology offerings from Oracle to improve and evolve OTM database systems and infrastructure (For example: Incorporating Zero Downtime Migration workflows)+ Provide creative and innovative solutions to use-cases/problems posed by Development and QA teams, which may entail unique and non-standard usage of the Oracle Backup & Recovery toolset.+ Liaison with Oracle Database Support Teams to come up with solutions for complex database issues faced by both our clients & internal development teams.+ Collaborate with Cloud Operations DBA team to keep the development and production environment configurations and infrastructure in sync.+ Maintain, troubleshoot and resolve database performance, capacity, replication, and other distributed data issues in Oracle RAC Database environments.+ Ensure databases are patched to the latest PSU/OJVM patches as they become available.+ Participate in data modeling, database logical and physical design and code reviews of database objects.+ Analyze long-term database performance trends to optimize database and application performance.**Qualifications**+ 10 years of relevant experience in the Information Technology industry.+ 8 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.+ Minimum of a Bachelor of Science level University degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Engineering or related degree.+ Possess advanced knowledge of and be very comfortable in using the following Oracle Database technologies,+ Oracle RDBMS Enterprise Edition+ Recovery Manager (RMAN)+ DB High Availability Architecture utilizing RAC, DataGuard, Golden Gate & Standby databases+ Performance/Diagnostic reporting tools like AWR, ADDM, ASH.+ Virtual Private Database (VPD)+ Strong experience with the following Oracle products, technologies, and options,+ Real Application Clusters (RAC)+ DataGuard, Golden Gate, TDE, Data Vault+ Managing ASM storage+ DataGuard Configuration with Switchover, Failover and Flashback capabilities+ Container Databases (CDB's) and Pluggable Databases (PDB's)+ DBCA Template Creation & PDB Archives+ PL/SQL code development and performance tuning+ Be comfortable authoring and maintaining scripts and automation using shell scripts, Perl, Python, etc.+ Familiar with the complete software development life-cycle: code, unit test, QA, build, deploy and patch+ Familiar working in a Kanban/Scrum/Agile development environment with knowledge on Scrum/Agile software development methodologies.+ Familiar with source code systems (Git, Clearcase)+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.
