"**Software Developer 3****Preferred Qualifications**Oracle CX Commerce organization is seeking for a motivated Senior Software Developer that thrives in a fast-paced rapidly evolving technology environment. This individual will be a member of the Core Devops/SRE engineering team primarily focused on service deployment tooling to design, build, promote and extend the monitoring platform leveraging data and machine learning capabilities.Individual should hold a depth of knowledge and solid experience with application performance monitoring and associated tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk and AppDynamics to design, build, promote and extend the monitoring platform. Also, individual is responsible for managing, monitoring and deploying highly available, highly scalable applications and work as a member of the Agile/Scrum team daily for the maintenance, upkeep and integrity of these environments.This position also provides support and answers questions about technical functions and changes made to software and hardware. Application Engineers may lead discussions and present information to internal partners such as; Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Product teams, and more.**Responsibilities:**+ Has an excellent, hands-on understanding of tools and techniques required to plan, build, and run a development (DevOps) pipeline for container-based, cloud-based services.+ Ability to read, write, configure, design, and script end-to-end service telemetry, alerting and self-healing capabilities for platforms.+ You will be responsible for the design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance with authority for end-to-end performance and operability.+ Clearly articulate, define, and execute on pipeline strategic vision based on business and engineering objectives.+ Work with architects, develop architecture standards for containerization and deployment designs.+ Develop architecture standards and practices for pipeline development, enhancement, and maintenance+ Identify opportunities and drive the implementation of automation to improve service health, manageability, reliability and telemetry.+ Authoring functional and technical documentation.+ A deep understanding of service topology and their dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies is required.**Qualifications:**+ Bachelors degree or masters degree in Computer Science+ Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate with all levels during critical events and be a bridge for technical discussion with non-technical people.+ 4 years hands-on experience with containers in Production Environments - Docker, Kubernetes preferred+ 5 years of experience running large scale customer facing web services in a DevOps/SRE environment+ 3 years of experience utilizing Cloud Infrastructure such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Azure, AWS, OpenStack, GCP+ 2 years of experience in Java, J2EE, Server Side programming, ReactJS will be a big plus+ Experience implementing CI/CD strategies & Container deployments using Helm charts+ Experience in Kubernetes to deploy scale, load balance and manage Docker containers with multiple name spaced versions.+ Deep knowledge of build automation tools, such as Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, etc. is required+ Solid experience and understanding around developing and maintaining Cloud Service monitoring and incident management+ Full-stack troubleshooting skills across network, application, hardware, management fabric, and distributed services layers+ Flexible work times to enable working with team members in other time zones (Early and Late conferences)**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers.
