Leidos is seeking a Software Developer to provide Agile DevOps support to mission critical network systems. As a Software Developer, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, document, test and debug software capabilities to support a complex program. Based in DevOps framework, you will determine computer user needs: analyze systems capabilities, resolve problems on program, determine output requirements, input data acquisition, and programming techniques and controls. The Software Developer develops solutions, prepares operating instructions, and ensuring compliance will all software standards.
The projected start date for this position is February 2022.

Software Developer Responsibilities:
• Document & build automations or workflow tasks & transitions
• Communicate with the customer in non-technical terms, understand their requirements and deliver suitable solutions
• Design & develop APIs and IAP adapters
• Build server-side business logic and expose via APIs.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs within existing applications.
• Contribute to the project and sprint planning process by estimating tasks and deliverables
• Produce end-user documentation for all automations
• Ensure network cloud solutions are secure by creating and deploying security instrumentation to strengthen cloud security.
• Translate customer requirements into Agile user stories for development
• Participate in code reviews and follow program coding standards
• Ensure that your code is tested, robust, and secure
• Support system integration, test, acceptance and operations/maintenance during all phases of a program.
• Document and/or analyze business processes and translating to system and technical requirements for implementation.
• Work with cross-functional team in an agile and fast-paced development environment

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in software engineering or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Experience with both implementing and building automations or workflows i.e. Tasks and Transitions, as part of the Itential Workflow Designer
• Experience with complex enterprise IP Networking and/or network device configuration
• Demonstrable experience authoring, creating and consuming modern APIs
• Experience with modular programming.
• General Knowledge of Cloud Technologies
• Prior System Integration, Solution Architecture or Professional Services roles
• Experience with Python and Ansible
• Experience with one or more ServiceNOW: ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, CMDB, Knowledge, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration
• Knowledge of Virtualization, ITSM, CI/CD, configuration management, and related automation technologies
• Hands-on experience with integration technologies (APIs) such as REST API, gRPC, SOAP, etc
• Experience with: JavaScript (es6), Node.js, React, MongoDB, Redis, Ansible, Docker, Python, AWS, git, Postman, RabbitMQ, Java, Linux
• Solid understanding of modeling languages such as JSON, YANG, YAML, and XML
• Experience developing, releasing, and maintaining software solutions (web, backend, and mobile)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated leader with team-oriented interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with a broad range of people and roles
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer-focused attitude and ability to deal with ambiguity
• Proven team player and team builder

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with ITIL, Service Management, HTML and CSS
• Strong understanding of UML diagrams and of object-oriented JavaScript
• Understanding of SOAP, REST, JSON technologies
• Experience working in a PaaS/SaaS environment
• Track-record of developing large-scale, multi-tier applications
• Experience with IBM Doors and Cameo Systems Modeler
• Familiarity with SysML and System Engineering modeling and design approach
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite and JIRA
• Working knowledge of the FAA and their engineering practices
• Familiarity with the National Air Space and FAA NextGen Air Traffic control programs
• Experience with modern telecommunications systems and networks. A working knowledge of networking hardware/terminology.
• Experience with IBM Doors and Cameo Systems Modeler
• Familiarity with SysML and System Engineering modeling and design approach
• Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite and JIRA
• Experience supporting Requirements Reviews with customer
