What you’ll be doing...

As part of the PACT (platform, architecture, cloud, and tools) organization is seeking a System Engineer to join its SRE Automation Governance team. The candidate will play a technical lead in the Automated Governance function, responsible for leading a team of onshore and offshore developers to build and support automated tooling.

  • Responsible for the Automated Governance function within EA Governance. Play the role of a Technical Lead for the SRE automation initiatives partnering with all stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the product roadmap.
  • Facilitatingand leading scrum meetings and track and update activities (product roadmap, delivery timelines).
  • Enablingthe engineering team to execute the roadmap addressing roadblocks as needed.
  • Partning with Solutions and Application Architects to onboard their applications to the tool.
  • Providingreports and feedback on the conformance of the NorthStar implementations to the NorthStar Standards & Guidelines.
  • Conducting reviews, demos, and presentations to executive leadership.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of key Architecture principles and guidelines.
  • Experience with server-less and micro-service architecture and deployment.
  • Experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, SQL, REST APIs, and Microservices.
  • Experience with JSON, XML, HTML/CSS, React, and Angular.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master's Degree.
  • Experience with Technical Product Management with technically managing onshore and offshore developers.
  • Experience with SAFe, Scrum, and/or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in building and managing a technology product.
  • Experience in collaborating and partnering with other technical domain experts (e.g., cloud, security, SRE, and DevOps).
  • Experience in leading engineers and/or developers in building solutions/systems.
  • Communication skills (verbal and writing).
  • Ability to create system and process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence and UML diagrams.
  • Ability to createinternal and infrastructure system dependencies within the functional domain and across them.
  • Integrations and Development experience (e.g., Data Ingestion & integrations with REST API, JSON, XML, SMTP, SaaS-based solutions (New Relic, Cloud), AI/ML, SPLUNK, MySQL, SQL Query, React, JavaScript, Groovy, and Unix Shell Scripting, Gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible, Apigee, and visualization tooling.)
  • Knowledge of the Telecom Industry.
