Position Summary:

The Primary responsibility will be to work as a Lead engineer of Shared Services team supporting the infrastructure of Digital Plant operation at the Devens Manufacturing Facility. Build new technical solutions for helping digital plant simplify and automate operations, and deliver new medicine to patient faster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in Shared Services team, and lead new IT infrastructure project at Devens, collaborate with digital plant team, enterprise architect team, IT operations team, and cyber resilience team.

  • Get business requirements from operations team, and communicate project status and timeline with the team.

  • Work with project manager to develop detail project plan and design documentation, and execute the plan in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate work schedule and responsibilities between local project team and global IT teams.

  • Proactively respond to new business requirement, and adjust project scope and priority.

  • Identify and develop high level industry standard and best IT practices in manufacturing.

  • Design, implement, and maintain network connectivity and active directory services in manufacturing at Devens MA.

  • Collaborate with consultants and vendors, evaluate and implement new technical solutions.

  • Assess risk of cyber threat and remediate vulnerability.

  • Improve network redundancy and uptime of network services.

  • Ensure continue operations of critical network and applications in manufacturing.

  • Ensure systems are properly documented, controlled for change, and monitored for uptime and performance.

  • Ensure data quality and meet compliance and regulatory requirement.

  • Provide expert support and customer service to internal BMS operation teams.

  • Cross train Shared Services engineers as required to support new design and solution.

  • Ability to work on an on-call basis or overtime when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in related technical field or IT certificates, with 15 years of experience of managing IT infrastructure and IT applications.

  • Microsoft MCSE preferred. CCNP or CCIE of switching and routing preferred.

  • Experience of supporting Dell network or Dell server is plus.

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and data center operations.

  • 10 years experiences of leading IT project in fast-paced multi-vendor environments, Ability to prioritize multiple projects with tight timeline.

  • 10 years experiences of managing Cisco LAN network and wireless network.

  • 10 years experiences of managing Windows domain, Active Directory, and group policy.

  • 5 years experiences of managing VMware and Hyper-V environment.

  • Strong understanding of network firewall and network security.

  • Experience of managing DNS, NTP, LDAP, TACACS, load balancing, and other IP based applications.

  • Experience of managing storage and backup application.

  • Experience of supporting Microsoft terminal server.

  • Experience of designing and patching structure cables in data center.

  • Experience of managing network monitor tools and SLA.

  • Experience of working in pharmaceutical or biologics industry.

  • Experience of validation process of GMP systems.

  • Basic understanding of cloud technology.

  • Strong customer service skill and technical writing skill.

  • Strong troubleshooting skill and problem-solving skill.

  • Strong self-management skill and self starter.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and work independently.

  • Ability to communicate with diverse group of technical staff and operation staff.

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $113,000 - $143,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the where the job is performed.

Final individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
