What you’ll be doing...

As an RF Engineer you’ll contribute to the RF Design of the regional wireless network.

  • Searching area issuance, candidate assessment, approvals, Macro / Smalls Designs and RFdesign support for bringing these solutions on-air.
  • Redesigning mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR while working with other areas of the network to ensure performance fixes/initiatives are in place.
  • RF designing support for bringing these solutions on-air including cross functional collaboration with the Real Estate team
  • Using internal tools (FUZE, ATOLL) to process regulatory compliance.
  • Performing Macro/Small Cell Design/In Building design including antenna selection and placement, utilizing knowledge of 5GUWB (C-BAND, mmW), CBRS,LTEto contribute in network design are key responsibilities.
  • Working on new cell sites, making sure the site is properly integrated into the network and optimized for peak performance.
  • Finding and resolve system issues on the network by utilizing traditional and non-traditional means.
  • Interacting with cross-functional teams to deploy and optimize components for best efficiency and reliability.

Where you'll be working...

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or one or more years of work experience.
  • One or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry with direct experience in RF Design & Optimization.
  • Knowledge of propagation modeling software (e.g., Planet EV, Atoll).
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master degree.
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting, VB Scripting, databases.
  • Experience in GIS tools such as MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Analytic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Capability to be flexible to attempt alternate solutions to resolve issues and seamlessly adjust to a dynamic, changing business environment.
  • Organizational time management, prioritization and project planning skills.
