What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for a Senior Experience Engineer for the Verizon e-commerce GTS team where you will work on new technologies and find ways to meet our customer’s needs and make it easy for them to do business with us. You will be responsible for developing the application which takes care of the sales flows on verizon.comand MyVerizon App. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading practices within software development teams to gather requirements and ensure best practices are adhered.
  • Supporting performance testing and ensure the team is able to come up with quick analysis on the LT result.
  • Leading efforts for platforms in the digital area and ensure all channels have optimal experience and think from OMNI perspective.
  • Ensuring that our customers have a smooth transition from one channel to another.
  • Managing requests from IT/Business leadership teams to provide estimates and strategies for North Star application migration and integration.
  • Generating ideas to transform the way we work to improve the experience for both customers & agents.
  • Designing and developing digital sales web applications using Java/Spring, and ReactJS technologies.
  • Designing, implementing and supporting solutions for application development, security, analytics and performance management.
  • Remaining aware of major changes happening across enterprise so new opportunities can be discovered and worked upon.
  • Leading teams in innovation and finding creative ways to help our customers with new solutions.
  • Anticipate emerging business needs and identify opportunities leading to the selection and design/development of tools, software platform and infrastructure components.
  • Conforming to existing industry and Verizon security coding standards adhering to fortify scan and other security tool review requirements.
  • Conducting code reviews for junior members of the team and do peer code reviews to make sure code is following standards set forward by the architects.
  • Running testing scripts against code to ensure quality delivery.

Where you'll be working...

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in ReactJS and Typescript.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant discipline.
  • Experience in fullstack development and DevOps to build and create both frontend and backend using ReactJS, Redux and Spring reactive framework.
  • Experience in Adobe set of tools including Adobe Experience manager (AEM) and Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience in Logging & Monitoring technologies like: ELK, Redshift & Grafana.
  • Experience in web performance testing tools like Lighthouse browser and CLI plug-ins.
  • Experience in A/B testing and latest industry standards in experience testing.
  • Solid management and communication skills
  • Experience in distributed systems development.
  • Knowledge of working with Redis in-memory data store and use it as cache.
  • Experience in at least one data pipeline tool such as Kafka.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and adaptation in the technology landscape.
  • Knowledge of personalization, marketing tactics for e-Commerce and SEO.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a California work location, the compensation range for this position is between $121,000 and $224,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
