PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION IS IN HAWAII.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation Physical/Electrical design for utilities/substations (including basic layout, electrical arrangement, one line, three-line drawings, plan-section, grounding, AC and DC system drawings)
  • Demonstrate leadership experience in executing substation protection and control projects
  • Perform engineering studies and calculations
  • Perform Quality Control reviews on substation physical design projects
  • Assume the role of technical lead on projects with limited guidance
  • Create and review bill of materials for substation physical projects
  • Develop and review proposals, and scopes of work for smaller substation physical projects
  • Be involved in client interaction (including site visits) with a senior, project or lead project engineer
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the internal teams and clients to meet project objectives
  • Attend site visit at customer location
  • Develop leadership skills in preparation for future roles on the team

To be considered for the following levels:

  • Mid Level: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and four plus (2) + years of Substation Physical design and/or Substation protection control design.
  • Senior Level: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and eight plus (4) + years of Substation Physical design and/or Substation protection control design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E) license
  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Working knowledge of protection and control design
  • Experience with bus calculation
  • Experience with WinIGS or CDEGS

Pay Range:

Pay Range $63,050.00 - $97,000.00 - $130,950.00
