We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Test engineer, who can demonstrate effective application of functional Test Engineering experience and general knowledge across a variety of technologies and Platforms, Virtualized Environments, Technologies, Networking Technologies and Windows Server Environments. To join our growing team of IT experts in delivering high quality IT services to our government customers. We love to work with people who have a passion ideally from an operational design background.

You will be self-motivated and be able to work autonomously and within a team on site environment to achieve day to day objectives with significant results on project or operational deliverables, whilst also owning a variety of activities ensuring compliance with project milestones and customer KPI’s and SLA’s. You must be an effective communicator, comfortable directly engaging with customers and colleagues. You must also demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges.

We operate a high paced and exciting collaborative working environment where the work you do is normally customer facing on site and has demonstrable real world impact. The role will require working on secure Government sites up to 4 days per week. You will be expected to contribute towards the creation and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation and, while primarily supporting the operational service, also be able to provide material to support change projects if required.

Work will be on customer sites (West London) with occasional travel to other Leidos and customer sites (Huntington) may be required. Keeping an eye on the technology landscape is essential, too – identification of new and relevant technologies to solve problems and make improvements is part of the job. Your Role and Responsibilities;

  • Highly Experienced in creating Test Scripts, Test Plans, Test Summary Reports

  • Proven experience in All phases of Testing ( FAT, SIT, UAT)

  • Have a good general knowledge of test automation; ;(Ansible, GIT, GITHub) (would be advantage.)

  • Knowledge of Network testing

  • Experience of Test Management tools: TestRail and Jira

  • Experience in SAFe Agile and waterfall models of delivery cycles

  • Experience in Defect Management process

  • Mentoring skills to assist more inexperienced members of the functional test team

  • Experience in Testing COTS software

  • Experience in testing Microsoft virtualisation technologies(Hype-V, VMware);

Favorable If You Have;

  • Have good general knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as MS SQL & CLI tooling such as PowerShell; (Would be advantage )

  • Have experience of testing within Windows Server Environments, including OS build, AD, DNS, DHCP and GP;

  • Have excellent analysis and problem solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents ensuring these are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer

  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills;

  • Experience in Security testing if not at least knowledge of Security testing

  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level would be an advantage.
