Leidos is seeking qualified candidates in a proposal effort to join our Engineering and Technical Support team, who will manage enterprise operations and deliver IT architecture modernization in support of the Department of the Navy. If awarded to Leidos, positions would be available in the Washington, DC Metro area and other locations across the US and abroad.

Test Engineering

Primary Responsibilities

  • Will assist with the following work:

  • Execute test cases for various application software

  • Develop software test plans, test cases, and test reports, and document and track defects

  • Develop test cases, mapping software requirements across the system functionality

  • Develop and execute test cases to test for compliance

  • Perform analysis, research, and troubleshooting of software defects and other issues

  • Participate in meetings with developers, requirements analysts, and other team members to help identify defects, troubleshoot system/software issues, and provide needed inputs to these discussions

  • Effectively communicate to other team members’ information regarding code defects, code releases, requirements, and environments status and needs

  • Update system documentation and test plans

  • Participate in the elicitation and specification of program requirements

  • Perform software and system verification and validation testing using manual test tools and test automation processes

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 or more years of messaging experience and communications systems administration; 5 or more years of experience with Microsoft and Unix environments; and 5 or more years experience with LAN communications. .

  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

  • IAT Level Certifications; at least one of the following: CISSP or CASP.
