What you’ll be doing...

Hum is the connected car system that makes driving safer and more convenient. Keep tabs on your car’s health and monitor its location in near real time. Get peace of mind with crash detection, roadside assistance, WIFI, low battery alerts and more. Hum helps you and your family stay safer and more connected on the road. Plus, you can stay on top of your car’s health and maintenance. The Hum platform is about delivering mission-critical, actionable information for our customers and continues to set the standard for location intelligence.
As a senior software engineer on the Hum team, you will lead the mobile development (iOS) for your squad and own the delivery of the feature set.

• Design and build applications for the iOS platform.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Write unit test cases for the code which is being shipped.
• Perform code reviews.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Four or more years of development experience in iOS, Swift, Objective-C.
• Objective-C or Swift, Swift UI and Cocoa Touch experience.
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Location, UIKit, Network, etc.
• Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
• Experience writing unit test cases using XCTest, Nimble etc.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Experience with Apple push notifications or Google FCM.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools Instruments, Xcode.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Experience with Agile or Lean development.
