When you join Verizon

Verizon is one of the world’s leading providers of technology and communications services, transforming the way we connect across the globe. We’re a diverse network of people driven by our shared ambition to shape a better future. Here, we have the ability to learn and grow at the speed of technology, and the space to create within every role. Together, we are moving the world forward – and you can too. Dream it. Build it. Do it here.

What you’ll be doing...

As an Adobe Campaign Engineer, you will be a technical marketing expert in our Adobe Campaign Center of Excellence, specializing in campaigns designed to deliver results against key business objectives. You will be working in Verizon’s instance of the Adobe Experience Cloud (Campaign Classic, Experience Manager, Experience Platform, & Target) and part of a collaborative cross-functional marketing team that drives real, measurable results for Verizon. For your part, you’ll design and implement complex multi-vehicle campaigns and be the technology liaison between the platform and various groups within various other groups within the consumer communications ecosystem.

In this role, you’ll manage all technology requirements related to campaign development & deployment – including the strategic, tactical and support functions (creative, technology, and analytics) across a variety of customer touchpoints (email, SMS, Push Messaging, In-app Messaging, Direct Mail, Personalized Videos, etc.). Your key objective is to leverage marketing technology to enable, automate & optimize programs that drive business performance.

  • Design and build best-in-class end-to-end personalized messaging journeys.
  • Assess which data elements will be required to reach the “right” targeted customers and determine what fields are needed for effective personalization of the message given the campaign strategy, vehicle(s) and objectives.
  • Identify if all elements are present within the existing Adobe profile and design flow of any additional needed data elements into the platform (SQL, ETL, etc.).
  • Develop content, programs and vehicle orchestration for the campaigns in order to deliver personalized messages to the intended customers.
  • Perform quality assurance review of all work, including yours and work from external parties (e.g. other campaign engineers, agencies, etc.).
  • Review existing campaigns to leverage opportunities to improve campaign performance based upon initial campaign results.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Verizon’s implementation of Adobe Campaign and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You are someone who has detailed knowledge of the Adobe Campaign platform and are also a technical expert with a proven ability to solve problems. You can translate your vision to non-technical members of the team and/or executive leaders.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of a “Tier 1” commercial email deployment platform.
  • Experience with commercial marketing clouds, such as Adobe Campaign, Responsys, and/or Salesforce, and experience building marketing workflows with multiple data sources.
  • Experience with lifecycle and/or customer-facing marketing programs.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Design, Management Information Systems, or a related IT or technology field.
  • MBA or other Master’s degree.
  • Adobe Campaign certification.
  • Knowledge of campaign performance analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with solution design, development and technical consulting through collaboration between business and IT teams.
  • High degree of independence and resourcefulness – ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities and meet deliverable dates independently.
  • Experience being a team player and working across multiple teams to support varied business objectives.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, research and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with technical scripting languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RPL, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of Teradata SQL.
