What you’ll be doing...

As a lead data engineer you will be focusing on collecting data from multiple sources in various formats and loading the data using various tools, code snippets, and frameworks as required. You will be expanding and optimizing data and the data pipeline architecture using a cutting edge approach to both structured and unstructured datasets. This position also offers a flexible / hybrid work environment.

  • Processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources.

  • Designing and planning for solutions in the various engineering subject areas as it relates to data storage and movement solutions: Enterprise system data architecture, data design, data persistence technologies, data processing, data management, and data analysis.
  • Creating both traditional ETL and data movement systems using Star and Snowflake technologies and virtualized data environments that do not require data movement with on demand queries
  • Maintenance and optimization of the data environments using both traditional methods (automated maintenance jobs, scripts for combing through parsing engines and query stores, etc.) and more advanced functionality including dynamic SQL, parameterized statements, and XML parsing

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
