What you’ll be doing...

You will support data and ETL needs as part of the Fraud BI team within the larger Fraud Strategy organization here at Verizon. Our goal is to create a robust and accurate database to support BI reporting that will be used to detect and prevent fraudulent activity.

  • Monitor daily audits/emails/alerts to troubleshoot ETL performance.
  • Design and implement ETL solutions to automate queries, table updates, and report generation.
  • Follow team standards and best practices.
  • Advise business partners on data availability, and assist with data sourcing.
  • Assist BI front end reporting team with query construction and table building.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working directly with SQL Query development - Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or other technical field.
  • ETL experience using Talend, Sql Server/SSIS, etc.
  • Experience working with Fraud specific data.
  • Experience performing complex analyses to determine trends or patterns within transactional data.
