Test Engineer

We are currently looking to hire an integration test engineer to join our team to help us deliver a large scale systems integration programme. As part of an integrated team the successful candidate will design, create and execute system integration tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, create and execute Test Cases and supporting data

  • Produce Detailed test reports and test documents

  • Document test results and defects

  • Produce automated tests using Python, Robot Automation – Keyword based automation approach

  • To work in a regulated environment testing

  • Conduct non-functional performance testing (Monitoring using AWS)

  • Conduct Containers testing/AWS

  • Test using Linux OS

  • Contribute recording test updates using Testrail tool

  • Raised defects and monitor defects using Jira tool

Key Skills:

  • 2 years’ test experience (or 3 years’ experience with ISTQB Foundation Certificate in software testing)

  • Excellent understanding of the Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional and Integration Testing

  • Demonstrable Systems Integration experience including integrating 3rd party systems or components

  • Able to understand existing Test Process and identify improvements and efficiencies

  • Experience of creating Test Cases based on requirements and design documents

  • Experience in Python, Robot Automation – Keyword based automation

  • Experience working in a regulated environment testing

  • Experience in non-functional performance testing (Monitoring AWS)

  • Experience in Containers testing/AWS

  • Use of Linux OS testing

  • Work experience in Testrail tool

  • Strong experience using Jira tool

  • Strong oral and written communication skills – ability to communicate with technical and non-technical team members.

  • Self-motivated and willing to speak to colleagues to find out missing information

  • Enthusiastic, proactive, troubleshooting attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Working with large-scale and complex integration programmes

  • Performance testing and measurement of integrated systems

  • Working with 3rd party suppliers

  • Good time management and organisational skills – ability to work with minimal supervision and direct others to do the same

  • Experience with virtualised products/services/solutions

  • Familiar with high-integrity or safety-related real-time systems
