Cyber Business and Technology Strategy - Senior Consultant
What you'll Do
The goal of the Cyber SGO is to scale existing businesses, create new businesses and experiment with emerging technology to sustain and grow our current market leadership. In this role, you will join our team of experienced, internal consultants to drive strategic initiatives within and across Deloitte's Cyber & Strategic Risk business. You will act as an internal consultant and work on a wide range of high-visibility projects, from strategy and design to management and execution. Representative topic areas include shaping market strategy in emerging technology and innovation efforts, and supporting key investments. Regardless of your focus, you will apply your consulting skillset, leadership mindset, and strategic thinking.
You will:
- Contribute to strategy development & execution for the Cyber business
- Contribute to market research in emerging technologies and investment hypotheses
- Gather, structure, and analyze data including external research with buyers/vendors and utilizing survey tools
- Translate complex ideas into simple and clear communications, both written (PowerPoint) and verbal (briefing to project leadership, stakeholders, and executives)
- Develop content for executive level presentations and reports to communicate and achieve buy-in for strategic recommendations
- Keep a pulse on market and technology trends that may impact our business
- Provide mentorship for analyst-level team members
- Keep projects on track from design through deliverable completion, overseeing status reports and ensuring appropriate follow-up
- Work with leadership to achieve and sustain superior overall performance

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of professional experience and a minimum of 3+ years relevant work experience in Consulting and/or professional services, with a focus on strategy, business transformation, and/or innovation
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects and priorities, while managing expectations and team communication
- Strong marketing research experience, analytic capabilities, including data analysis and visualization
- Exceptional presentation skills appropriate to the audience, and concise and fluent in communication
- Ability to distill complexity via an analytic and structured approach
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Tendency towards self-motivation, with a proven ability to operate independently and deliver quality results
- Proficient in relevant tools (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance business transformation, and/or innovation
Preferred
- Experience in cybersecurity or emerging technologies
- Prior experience in consulting or professional services
