The Organon US Commercial BT Lead will serve as a thought leader in the business transformation across all commercial functions ena, across all functions, and act as the single point of accountability to ensure that technology solutions and services enable this journey. This individual should have an entrepreneurial mindset and needs a healthy mix of digital thought leadership, ability to define and drive change through technology initiatives in an agile manner, and to build partnerships both internal and external to Organon and have a truly dynamic and innovative mindset.

As a member of, and working in full partnership with, the US Commercial Leadership Team, they will ensure prioritization, clarity and alignment with goals and business outcomes and create, and deliver new projects on-time, within budget and with the associated quality standards. Ensuring business continuity through the support of and enhancements to existing digital solutions is also a critical success factor.

This position will be supporting commercial function in the US. The incumbent will be responsible for the BT team aligned to the US commercial business and will also collaborate with other functional leaders to ensure development of a global multi-year technology portfolio, as well as influence senior business leaders in the development of the business strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the U.S. commercial function to shape business strategy to drive profitable growth through organic growth as well as through inorganic business development opportunities.

  • Ensure the technology portfolio and roadmaps are integrated with the company’s transformation agenda and global Business Technology (BT) strategy and prioritized to meet business objectives and deliver expected outcomes.

  • Partner with global various value teams to enable relevant capabilities required for advancing business priorities and delivering expected business outcomes. Champion data and analytics domain as it pertains to the U.S. commercial business to drive key insights for measuring business performance and identifying better use of marketing activities.

  • Partner with franchise leads to advance consumer engagement strategy to understand how to position our products as well as services to activate consumers and deliver patient outcomes.

  • Proactively identify business needs where technology innovation and experiments can deliver deeper customer engagement and insights.

  • Contribute to living technology portfolio that incorporates evolution of U.S. business model and advancement of technology.

  • Be a leader in the BT community to build a strong and highly engaged BT team that has technical thought leadership to evaluate various technology solutions and services, flexible skills required for capability enablement, and realize business value from technology investments. Seek ways to improve BT community’s cohesiveness and effectiveness in achieving company objectives.

  • Facilitate a governance structure to facilitate the prioritization and project selection process, and drive alignment on selection of optimal technology investments.

  • Partner with functional leaders to understand the market and industry business drivers in order to shape and influence the business, and articulate BT vision and digital strategy.

  • Develop and implement project plans that include interdependencies and risk management solutions.

  • Work with our BT partners from the functions, as well as Enterprise, and follow global contracts to provide technology operations and support services to required service levels.

  • Manage resources to deliver on functional and corporate objectives. Identify ways to optimize available resources and deliver portfolio with maximum business and technology efficiency.

  • Manage and enhance operational systems to ensure defined and evolving service levels are met.

  • Provide guidance to others on implementing corporate practices.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Science or Business is required.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 15-to-20-year experience in IT management, partnering with business leadership teams in developing and executing digital strategy to enable business outcomes.

  • Strong technology skills to deliver large scale or enterprise-level programs.

  • Proven track record in driving our Company's core business, with particular focus on consumer engagement and shifting to data-driven organization.

  • Experience in leveraging data and analytics to support critical business decision-making process.

  • Knowledge/experience of development and deployment of innovative solutions in any business domain from conceptualization through delivery.

  • Ability to thinking cross-functionally and working across boundaries.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior business executives and with internal and external Healthcare and IT solutions providers.
