About the Opportunity
This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00]
The Technology Solutions Analyst builds analytical tools which provide actionable insight to decision makers. This individual is a member of the newly created Solutions and Standards team within the Supply Chain organization, which is in the middle of an exciting transformation within FirstEnergy. The size of this organization is doubling as new processes are being implemented. To support these new processes, the organization will move to a new, industry leading, cloud-based Source-to-Pay system.
This position is designated as “mobile” and can be sited at any location within the FirstEnergy service territory (OH, PA, WV, NJ, or MD).
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the administrator to help implement and then maintain a new, state-of-the-art, cloud-based Source to Pay application as well as several other newly purchased Supply Chain tools
- Creating test scenarios and scripts (e.g., for new features or new configurations) for any changes that may impact systems and processes
- Working closely with users to recommend and implement improvements
- Assisting with data used for reporting
- Administering security roles and permissions
An employee hired at the Analyst IV level will be expected to perform all the above responsibilities with more proficiency, and in a more independent manner. Further, the Analyst IV level employee will be assigned additional responsibilities related to those above.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, data analytics, data management, data modeling, statistics, quantitative/qualitative methods, or related discipline and 7 - 10 years’ related work experience is required.
- In lieu of a degree, 10 years of related work experience is required. Related work experience includes data management, data science, data analytics, dashboard development or extensive software administration experience.
- Coupa experience is a plus but not a requirement
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Experience with cloud-based platforms
- Understanding of supply chain concepts and policies
- Experience in data mining, analysis and/or reporting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Experience with ERP applications
- Able to work with individuals at all organizational levels
