Our Company's Global Procurement & Supplier Management (GPSM) Organization partners with the business to develop and execute direct and indirect sourcing strategies, enabled by agile business processes and strong supplier performance management, to drive improved business outcomes. The senior specialist will report to the Associate Director, Sourcing Center of Excellence (COE) Lead based in Lisbon.
Purpose of the role
This position is for an exciting new role on The Global Procurement and Supplier Management Team. We are looking for a Senior Specialist to join our Sourcing Center of Excellence (COE). This position will be responsible for executing all steps of the sourcing process, pricing negotiations, supplier onboarding, and evaluation/recommendation for award.
Main responsibilities
- Gather business requirements from stakeholders to source a good or service from a third-party vendor.
- Work closely with the Contract Center of Excellence to ensure that agreed upon terms and conditions are accurately reflected from proposal and award through final contracting.
- Interface with both Coupa Contract Life Cycle Management (CLM) and Coupa Sourcing Optimization (CSO) depending on the opportunity.
- Create a sourcing pipeline of future events to enable forecasting.
- Lead cross functional teams through the sourcing process including individuals outside of the procurement organization.
- Drive governance and consistency in sourcing to ensure a standardized approach.
- Collaborate a constantly refine sourcing templates for RFI, RFQ, and RFP.
- Negotiate pricing for quotes in context of the purchase and the larger partnership with the third-party vendor.
- Use market intelligence to understand industry benchmarks, best practices, market dynamics, etc.
- Collaborate on evaluation criteria and lead a core team through the scoring process.
- Submit and validate third party due diligence requests as inputs to infer awards through the sourcing process.
- Align with local and global finance representatives to ensure consistency in reported spend verse savings and actuals with third-party vendors.
- Use a savings management system as a system of record.
- Ensure sourcing process is fair, ethical, and provides equal opportunity to all participants.
Your profile
- Minimum of 5 years in Procurement or related field with experience in sourcing and leading price negotiations across multiple divisions and markets.
- Complex Negotiation Skillset.
- 3+ years technical experience using an electronic sourcing management tool like Coupa.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze large complex data sets to derive relevant intelligence in developing sourcing strategies or supporting negotiations.
- Able to understand a global long-term vision based on a thorough understanding of industry trends and opportunities.
- Advanced ability to partner, collaborate and impact decisions at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and find innovative solutions whilst working in an ambiguous, transformational business environment.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Highly capable project management to understand interdependencies between sourcing events, meet timelines, and handle multiple RFx at the same time.
- Strong Market Knowledge across Indirect Categories and/or skillsets to benchmark and scan market to gain insights.
- English language fluency.
- Strong Portfolio Management Skillset.
- Creative, self-starter and bias for action.
