Our ideal candidate is someone who can quickly pick up our payroll operations processes with minimal supervision.Job Responsibilities:Duties and tasks are assigned and prioritized based upon the companys evolving needs and includes but not limited to:Assist in the preparation of employee semi-monthly payrollAnalyze, verify and input payroll dataManage daily payment processing runsManage terminationsManage garnishmentsManage leave of absence pay (LOA's)Manage escheatment processProcess daily ISO, NQ, RSU stock files and monthly ESPP DQ'sReconcile and prepare semi-monthly vendor wires for payroll deductionsManage daily banking tasks (ACH funding, check printing, ACH rejections & stop payments)Manage overpayment processProcess employees withholding allowance certificates (Form W-4)Process pay history requests (statement of earnings copies)Research vacation and timecard inquiriesProcess W-2 copy requestsParticipates in payroll system upgrades and implementations.Key Qualifications:3-5 years experience preparing and processing multi-state semi-monthly payroll tasksStrong understanding of general HR & payroll wage and hour laws, tax laws, functions and processesExperience reviewing and analyzing - payroll variances, IRS Forms W-4, wage garnishments, deduction set-ups, and all other pertinent informationStrong problem solving and analytical skillsGood written and verbal communications, including following directions and documenting processesHave excellent time-management and prioritization skillsAdaptable to a fast changing work environment while able to work well under stress and tight deadlinesExperience with Oracle payroll/HR applications a plus, but not required#LI-LG1**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Responsible for assisting in the preparation, distribution, and accounting of employee payroll.Serves as a liaison to employees and third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies. Audits employee pay records and reconciles totals by departmental cost center, location, etc. Participates in payroll system upgrades and implementations. Works directly with employees to resolve outstanding payroll inquiries. Ensures FLSA status is correctly captured in the system per employee. Interprets pay policies, e.g. vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, governmental regulations, withholding exemptions, etc. and ensures amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to various accounts correctly. Ensures company compliance with federal and state payroll standards. In house payroll expert, staying current with changes in the law. May assist with audits such as internal, state, federal, etc. for correctly classifying and paying employees. May prepare tax reports and related documentation. Documents payroll processes and procedures. May train other payroll staff. May be back up to those who perform specialized tasks or activities.Duties and tasks are standard with some variation.
