Primary Role

Sr. SAP Business Analyst (Sr. BA) role serves as liaison between business SMEs, project teams, development teams, senior and other stakeholders with a focus on business process analysis and relevant technology solution delivery. Sr. SAP Business Analyst is responsible for the participation in intake process, requirements analysis and detailed design of business processes in one or more functional domains, redesign business processes as needed, assist project team to define test strategies, test plans, test scripts, and well-defined deployment strategy for successful delivery of technology solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with business SMEs to elicit business requirements by identifying business value, objective, goals and key results associated with business request.
  • Transform business needs into formal business case/scope document for project approvals.
  • Assist BRM (business relationship manager), PM, Project team(s) during project intake and execution phases.
  • Generating Current/Future state process flow documentation to support requirement elicitation and documentation.
  • Utilizing prototyping to acquire formal business approvals on requirements, business process and navigation.
  • Identify, document and manage Functional and Non-Functional requirements to meet business needs.
  • Assist testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and provide feedback to ensure requirement test coverage.
  • Assist and contribute to project management activities such as: scoping and estimating project efforts, identifying risks and recommending mitigation measures, communicating activity status, as well as escalating and communicating possible issues.
  • Conduct requirement walkthrough/grooming sessions to seek project team feedback on business needs.
  • Partner with SAP technology team to transform business requirements into workable solutions meeting business needs.
  • Acts independently or as a member of a project team with a focus on quality delivery.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Deep understanding of combining different technology and process-oriented solutions focused on Finance, Supply Chain, Rates and Regulatory functions to drive business value
  • Sound experience in defining business/technology strategy for CFO’s organization by leveraging solutions focused on
    • Scenario based rate case modeling and financial analysis
    • Process standardization, governance, and automation
    • Business insights and self-service
    • Timely financial visibility
    • Merger & acquisition processes

Knowledge/Skills Continued

  • Experience with SAP FICO or S/4HANA implementation analysis and documentation.
  • Ability to identify requirements/backlog of business functions and their alignment with AW’s overall business strategy, and impact of said requirements/backlog.
  • Experience of managing complex matrixed organizational structures and demonstrated capability in collaborating and influencing across such an organization.
  • Strong experience in requirement analysis, documentation using Agile and Waterfall framework.
  • Ability to listen, and build rapport and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit, as well as with leadership and functional teams
  • Ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
  • Familiarity with objectives & working of AW’s business functions.
  • Deep understanding of objectives & working of typical business functions (HR, Supply Chain, Customer, Operations, Finance etc.)
  • Understanding of integrated approach of Operations, Environmental and Safety functions to support our field workers and customers.

Experience/Education

  • 10+ years of subject matter expertise and/or business analysis skills.
  • 3+ years of experience facilitating SAP FICO or S/4Hana implementation as business analyst.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Business Analysis Certification (CBAP/CCBA/CFLBA) (highly desired)
