We are in search of a Solution Architect. A role has arisen within the Logistics Commodity Services Transformation (LCST) programme. This role is establish and lead a revised PMO with a £6.5bn programme with the Ministry of Defence.

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).

Working together as Team Leidos we are helping to transform the UK's defence supply chain by providing an integration of a complex mixture of services, at low risk, using a modern suite of systems that will deliver one version of the truth. For the first time, the MOD will see the whole picture, as it is happening.

We are in search of a Solution Architect who will analyse complex business problems to be solved with processes and applications across our customer and operating portfolio. You will manage and support work empowering our LCST Programme to establish, and deliver, their vision and value, by joining a capability which offers extensive business analytics experience, business strategic and operations planning capability, change acculturalisation expertise and business transformation knowledge.

Job Description::

Responsible for providing technical leadership and for delivering an innovative product, service or, at higher levels, a combination of products and services that address a customer's specific business problem. Duties may include developing innovative approaches and solutions, using non-quantitative tools and guidelines from past experience.

  • Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
  • Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.
  • Typically responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower level technical staff.
  • Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
  • Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
  • Deep knowledge in the Application Design/Architecture, Integration Architecture, Solution Architecture in the Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
  • Deep knowledge in the Cloud Migration/Solutions.
  • Communicates with internal and client project team members.
  • Works to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
  • Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas.

Education & Experience:

Requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
