The Defense Group at Leidos has an immediate opening for a Solution Architect to join our Columbia, MD based Defense Enclave Services (DES) team.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This opportunity will support new business pursuits and contract growth to the DES program and Fourth estate agencies by providing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. You will help customers solve their more demanding challenges via technology, modernization, and transformation processes, utilizing proven methods and solutions. As a Solution Architect, you will work with business development, research and development, and innovation leadership to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to be delivered on programs, in proposals, and on research and development projects. In addition to developing solutions, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical features and transformation strategies, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•In coordination with program leadership, identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve mission enterprise capabilities resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction
•Establish Leidos best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches related to digital modernization and transformation technologies, including large-scale software development/architecture, Cloud migration, Automation, knowledge modeling, Data Driven Operations, End user experience improvement, and.
•Partner with the Business Development team to support new business strategies, including the development of technical solutions, basis of estimates, white papers, industry relationships, and responses to RFIs and RFPs
•Support the Business Development and Program team with customer calls and the Leidos’ corporate business development process for larger opportunities
•Strengthen existing programs with application of technology and/or innovation by working with peer Operations teams, Group CTOs, and other Leidos Groups, and by leveraging known technology and solutions on current programs and new business pursuits
•Understand competitor and teammate technology competencies
•Review and assess vendor technology solutions

REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Must hold an active Secret clearance or have the ability to obtain Interim Secret eligibility prior to start. (US Citizenship required)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
•Experience as a solution architect or technical volume lead on captures and proposals
•Ability to author, present, and articulate problem sets and associated solution elements in settings supporting customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executives
•Experience developing cloud based architecture solutions based on customer requirements.
•Strong technical breadth and depth in support of the government markets and in particular in government mission and enterprise IT design, implementation, operations, and modernization
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.
•Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (PowerShell, DSC, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
•Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00
