Job Description:
Leidos is seeking an analytical and solution-driven data architect to lead requirements, design, and technical development of AWS modern data architecture solutions. In a hands-on capacity, the architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, architect, and implement universal data repositories, data integration, data quality, data catalogs, and related data management solutions. Our ideal candidate is a thought leader who can execute tactically while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment—and must possess excellent technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
This is a fully remote, telework position.
In this role, you will:
Model, design and build data management solutions using AWS cloud services, including Data Lake House (Modern Data Architecture), S3, RDS, NoSQL data stores, Glue, Glue Data Catalog, Athena, Lake Formation, and AWS Transfer family.
Architect and build solutions for integrating data storage architectures, ELT/ETL, metadata management, data quality management, data query, semantic search, and API based data interfaces.
Design efficient data models to support high performance queries.
Design solutions to organize structured, semi-structured, unstructured content using taxonomies.
Ensure solutions support the complete data lifecycle—from creation to retention and purge.
Incorporate data management best practices to maintain security and controlled access to data.
Serve as an organizational thought leader on data architecture, management, and governance.
Serve as a lead interface with external clients as needed.
Support project roadmaps and new business proposals as needed.
Required Qualifications:
8 years or more of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Experience designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating technology solutions.
Comfortable with release management in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
Ability to lead integrated solutions design and development—valuing collaboration, listening, empathy, transparency, attention to detail, ownership, accountability, risk management.
Communicate the intricacies of backend development challenges or issues; act as a subject matter expert both internally (across departments) and externally with clients.
Experience with Agile process methodology, and CI/CD automation.
The ability to successfully obtain a government-issued Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications (preferred, but not required):
Experience and certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Experience working with AWS CI/CD services (e.g., CodeCommit, CodePipeline).
Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
